Step 1
In order to change the location of your "My Documents" folder, you must do the following:
- click the "Start" menu - select "My Documents";
- right-click on the folder "My Documents" - in the context menu, select "Properties" ";
- click on the "Destination folder" tab;
- in this tab, go to the folder destination field.
- specify the path to the folder that you would like to see as "My Documents" - click the "OK" button;
- select, for example, the folder "E: / Documents" - if such a folder does not exist, then a dialog box will appear in front of you;
- click the "Yes" button to create the specified folder - click the "OK" button.
Step 2
You can also use moving the folder: click the Move button - then click the OK button. To create a new folder, press the button of the same name - enter the name of the folder - select it and press the "OK" button.
Step 3
In order to restore the default path to the "My Documents" folder, do the following:
- click the "Start" menu - select "My Documents";
- right-click on the folder "My Documents" - in the context menu, select "Properties" ";
- click the "Restore defaults" button - then the "OK" button;
- in the opened window for moving documents, click the "Yes" button.
