It often happens that due to the inexperience of the photographer or in situations when shooting is carried out in a poorly lit room, unpleasant glare from a flash or other lighting devices remains on the person's face in the picture. This greatly spoils the image, but this drawback can be subsequently eliminated using the technical means of the Adobe Photoshop program.

Instructions

Step 1

Load the image. We choose the scale of the image so that we can easily see the place where we will be doing the retouching. Find the Patch Tool in the toolbar. You can also switch to it by pressing Shift + J on the keyboard several times - a keyboard shortcut that will one by one activate the tools from the Healing Tools set, among which there is the patch we need.

Step 2

We outline the glare with this tool, which we need to eliminate. It is better to circle with a small margin outward, so that after the operation is completed along the contour of the flare, there is no unpleasant whitish rim left. Release the mouse button. We have selected the area that needs to be replaced, and now we need to select the "donor site", a fragment of which can fill the damaged image. We place the cursor in the middle of the selected area and without releasing the mouse button, we begin to move along the picture. Inside the selection, we see fragments of our photo. We stop at the place that, as it seems to us, could replace the original fragment. Here it is necessary to remember that most likely we will not have to "go far", usually there is an area of the same texture and illumination that we need right next to the glaring place.

Step 3

Let go of the mouse button, and the program will automatically, as far as possible, adjust the color and intensity of the edges of the "implanted" fragment to the new place. It may not work out very well the first time; for such a complex operation, it may take a little practice. But we can always undo the last action by pressing Ctrl + Z, or by choosing Edit> Undo from the menu.
