Sometimes in the printed text that we type in "Word" or another editor, it is required to put stress in words. Of course, you can get by with the emphasis on the stressed letter in bold or separate this letter with a quotation mark. However, modern programs allow you to insert an accent icon in several ways. It remains to choose the one that is convenient for you.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are working in Word, place the cursor after the letter you want to be accented with. Then open the Insert tab on the top panel, select the Symbol field in it. Find the accent mark in the cells that open. Click on it once with the left mouse button. An inscription with a keyboard shortcut will appear at the bottom. For example 0300, alt="Image" + x. Close the box with cells, and type 0300 immediately after the stressed letter in the text. Then press the key combination alt="Image" + x on the keyboard.
Step 2
If you need to stress over the vowels aeo, use the Latin counterparts of these letters. You can find out the keyboard shortcuts for them (for example, 03AC alt="Image" + x for Latin percussion a) using the same scheme on the top panel of the document in Word: Insert-Symbol.
Step 3
Another option to write a Latin stressed vowel is the ctrl key combination and the apostrophe icon '. Switch the keyboard to the English layout, press these keys, and then the English letter - the analogue of the Russian one. It will appear on the screen along with the accent.
Step 4
Download the free add-on to Word - Rebuild from any site with software. This program has macros that will allow you to emphasize words without switching to the Latin alphabet. Please note that this program is not compatible with all versions of text editors.
