A computer, like any other technique, tends to fail. Some malfunctions can lead to the loss of all data stored on it. The same thing happens if the system crashes, which entails reinstalling the computer's operating system.

Instructions
Step 1
In order not to lose all the information available on your computer, you should create a disk image, namely a hard disk backup. Then you can easily recover all data by loading it when installing the operating system or after repair. Everything is done in a few operations.
Step 2
First of all, purchase or several flash drives to accommodate the entire amount of available information. Then connect to your computer. Go to the "Control Panel" of your computer through the "Start" menu. In the window that opens, select the "Backup and Restore Center" tab. The system will offer you two paths: "Protect files with backup" and "Restore files". To create a disk image, select "Protect files by archiving".
Step 3
A new window will open where the system will ask you where to save the backup. By clicking on the triangle, in the list that opens, select the removable media and click "Next". The media will be identified by a specific letter. If you do not know exactly what symbol a USB device is indicated by, first look through the "My Computer" shortcut.
Step 4
In a new tab, uncheck the boxes next to the data that you do not want to save. For example, you don't need music. Unchecking the checkbox will warn the system that this data does not need to be archived. If you want to back up all the information, then do not change anything, just click "Next". The system will warn you that an archive will be created, which will save all the file types selected for archiving.
Step 5
Click at the bottom of the window "Save parameters and start archiving". The creation of a disk image to a USB flash drive is running. Then wait until the end of the process and remove the USB device. To do this, in the computer tray, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon and select the USB flash drive. Then click on the "Stop" button.
