Step 1
Click on an empty area of the desktop with the right mouse button and select "Screen Resolution" in the context menu that appears. A window will appear in which select "Advanced options". In the next window, click on the "Adapter" tab. A window will pop up, in which there will be the name of the model of your video card.
Step 2
If, in addition to the model, you also need to find out additional parameters, click the "Start" -> "All Programs" sequence, then go to the "Standard" tab. From the standard programs, select the "Command line" line and enter dxdiag in it. In the window that appears, click on the "Screen" tab. In the upper left corner of the next window there will be information about the video card model. Opposite the video card model there will be information about the version of the video card driver and the DirectX version that it supports.
Step 3
If, in addition to the model of the video card, you need to find out complete information about the video card and the technologies that it supports, use additional programs. Download the AIDA64 Extreme Edition application from the Internet. You can download a free trivial version with a limited period of use. Install the program on your computer and run it. Wait for the program to finish scanning your system. This will take about ten seconds. After that, you will be taken to the main menu of the program.
Step 4
The program window will appear, which will be divided into two parts. In the right window of the program, select the "Display" component, in the next window - "GPU". A window will pop up again, which will display comprehensive information about your video card: information about the video card model, technology support and memory type. Links to download the driver, update the driver, and a link to the manufacturer's website will also appear at the bottom of the window. If you wish, you can update the drivers.
