Instructions

Step 1

Launch Adobe Photoshop from the shortcut on your desktop or the Start menu. Wait for the program to load and in the upper window panel select the "File" - "Open" menu (File - Open). Select the image whose background you want to replace, and then open the file in which the background is stored in the same way.

Step 2

Select the image you want to take the background from. Select it completely using the Ctrl and A keys on the keyboard or through the Select - All item in the top window panel. Then go to the photo being edited and paste the copied background using the command "Editing" - "Paste" (Edit - Paste).

Step 3

Add a mask for the background layer. To do this, in the layers palette, left-click on the inserted element, and then select the menu "Layer" - "Add mask" - "Remove all" (Layer - Add Layer Mask - Hide All).

Step 4

Select the Brush tool from the toolbar on the left side of the window. Change the color palette to "White / Black" at the bottom of this section - left-click on the corresponding icon in the lower left corner.

Step 5

In the upper part of the program window, configure the tool parameters. Choose a soft brush from the suggested options and increase its size using the appropriate option. After the desired settings are made, start coloring the image. You will see how the new background appears in the picture.

Step 6

To paint smaller elements, reduce the size of the brush and use the "Increase" tool, which is available on the appropriate panel. You can also change the softness and pattern of the element.

Step 7

After finishing editing, save the resulting file. To do this, go to the menu "File" - "Save As" (File - Save As) and select a folder to place the resulting photo. The background editing is complete.
