Instructions

Step 1

Run the program and open both images in it: the one into which you want to insert and the one you want to insert. To do this, press the hotkeys Ctrl + O, select the file (or files, if they are in the same folder) and click "Open".

Step 2

Select the image you intend to insert. If you want to insert it completely, grab the Move tool (hotkey V) and just drag it to another image. Using the same tool, you can move the dragged image already inside the “destination”. However, here you can face one difficulty - the dimensions of the inserted image may not correspond to your idea.

Step 3

If the image is too large and obstructs the entire “destination”, then before dragging, reduce it. To do this, click the menu item "Image" -> "Image size" or use the hotkeys Ctrl + Alt + I, in the window that appears, find the "Pixel dimensions" section, it is at the very top, change the Width and Height parameters in it, and then click OK. By the way, to go back a few steps, use the History menu (to open it, click the Window -> History menu item).

Step 4

If the image is too small, then it can be enlarged directly at the "destination". In the list of layers, select the layer with the dragged image and press Ctrl + T. Square handles will appear around the layer, hold Shift (to keep the image proportions) and drag one of the corner handles outward. By the way, using this method, you can also reduce the image, for this drag the corner marker inside the image.

Step 5

To save the result, press Ctrl + Shift + S, in the window that appears, specify the path, enter a name, determine the type of the future file and click "Save".
