To open files of this format, you need to use special software. Alcohol 120% is considered one of the best programs of this type. Install this program and run it. It has a lot of functions and settings, which are easy to understand. this program is also in Russian, but first of all you should be interested in the virtual drives that this program creates. They can be found in the bottom panel of Alcohol 120%. Select any of them, then right-click, then - "Mount image", after which you need to find a file with the mds extension to run it.

There are many alternatives to Alcohol 120%, but most users prefer Daemon Tools. To use it, install the Lite version of this program on your computer. Its advantage is that it is absolutely free, and you most likely will not even notice the lack of some functions in it. Once installed, this program can be found in the tray next to the clock - it has a lightning bolt icon. Right-click on it. A menu will open, point to Virtual CD / DVD-ROM, then Mount Image. Select the mds file, after which it will be loaded into the virtual drive in the same way as in Alcohol 120%.

UltraIso can also be distinguished from other programs that support similar functions. Despite the name, this program is able to open files not only in iso format, but also mdf, and many others. After installation, launch this program and go to the toolbar by clicking Mount to virtual drive. Select the required file and download it. It will now appear in the virtual drive, which can be found by going to the my computer folder.
