It often happens that several people can work on one computer. This applies to both the home PC and the computer that the user works with, for example, in the office. And there may be a situation when you have installed the program on such a PC, but do not want anyone other than you to use it. You can solve the problem by setting a password for this program.

Step 1
In order to protect the program with a password, you need to install a special application SaveIt on your computer. The program can be found on the Internet. You need to search for a version specifically for your operating system. You should also take into account the bitness of the OS. After downloading, install SaveIt on your computer.
Step 2
Run the program. A small window will appear. Above in the right corner is the folder icon. Click on this icon with the left mouse button. You will see a browse window. In this window, specify the path to the executable file of the program that you need to protect with a password. The executable file is usually located in the root folder where the program is installed.
Step 3
You can also specify the path to the program launch shortcut. To do this, select the launch shortcut or the executable file with the left mouse button, then click "Open" from the bottom of the window. After that, the application will be added to the menu.
Step 4
Next, in the program window, click on the arrow that points to the right. In the next window, enter the required password. Then click on the arrow pointing to the right again. Another window will pop up. There is no need to change anything in it, just continue on again. The program window will close. It is now password protected.
Step 5
After completing the password setting procedure, you can test the program's functionality. Try to launch the application. As soon as you do this, a small window will appear in which there will be a line for entering the password. Enter it, then click on the green arrow to the right of the password entry line. Only then will the program be launched. Thus, only a person who knows the password can use it. You can put it to all the necessary applications that you want to protect from other users.
