Images are, as a rule, not multi-layered formats, with the possible exception of various project files, for example, with the psd extension. Therefore, in such cases as removing the frame around the image, you will have to act in reverse: cut the picture out of this frame.

Necessary

Russian version of Adobe Photoshop CS5

Instructions

Step 1

Open the required image in Adobe Photoshop: press the hotkeys Ctrl + O, select the file and click the "Open" button.

Step 2

Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool. This can be done in two ways. First - on the toolbar, find the icon of a square, rectangle or oval, the borders of which are outlined by a dotted line, right-click on it and select "Rectangular Area". Second - click the hotkey M or, if the adjacent tool is currently active, additionally click Shift + M to switch.

Step 3

Hold the left mouse button in the upper left corner of the cutout image, drag it to the lower right corner and release. Thanks to your actions, a rectangular frame will appear, the borders of which will have the effect of "walking ants" - this is the selection area. Such cutting is somewhat similar to the barbaric method by which the painting in the Soviet detective story "The Return of St. Luke" was stolen. You do not take out the whole picture from the frame, but only a flat rectangular area in the middle.

Step 4

To create a new document, press Ctrl + N hotkeys and, experimenting with the values in the "Width" and "Height" fields, resize this document to the size of the selection you made in the third step of this instruction.

Step 5

Select the Move tool and drag a selection from the original document onto the newly created one, and then align it. That's it, now you have a free picture, albeit in a slightly trimmed version (depending on the shape of the frame).

Step 6

To save the result, click the "File"> "Save As" menu item (or click on the Ctrl + Shift + S hotkeys), in the menu that appears, define the path for the future image, give it a name, select Jpeg in the "File type" field and click "Save".
