The operation of setting the environment variable (environment) can be performed by the user using standard tools of the Microsoft Windows operating system and does not imply the involvement of additional third-party software.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Run" item to initiate the procedure for setting environment variables.
Step 2
Enter the value cmd in the Open field and click OK to confirm the launch of the Command Prompt tool.
Step 3
Use the set command syntax to display, create, or delete environment variables for the current shell.
Step 4
Enter the value "set variable_name" (without quotes) in the command line text box to display the selected variable and press Enter to display the desired parameter, or enter "set variablename = variable_value" (without quotes) to perform an add environment variable operation.
Step 5
Press the Enter function key to confirm execution of the command, or use "set variable_name =" (without quotes) to delete the selected environment variable.

Confirm the application of the selected changes by pressing the Enter softkey.

Return to the main menu "Start" and call the context menu of the item "My Computer" by clicking the right mouse button to enable permanent action of the selected environment variable.

Specify the item "Properties" and go to the "Advanced" tab of the dialog box that opens.

Expand the "Environment Variables" node and create the required value of the variable in the opened form.

Click OK to apply the selected changes.
