When you are watching a movie or video and you like some melody, but the name and its artist cannot be determined, video programs come to the rescue. You can extract the audio track from a video file using any video editor. And then you can record it in a format that can be reproduced both on a computer and using a portable device.
Instructions
Step 1
You can use almost any paid or free video editor to extract audio from video files. Free utilities include Movavi Converter, Free Video to Audio Converter, AoA Audio Extractor, Free Video to MP3 Converter. Install the application you like after downloading it from the developer's website and running it on your computer.
Step 2
In the appeared window of the program, select the file to be converted by clicking on the "Add" button or through the File - Open menu. Different programs can support different files, but basically all programs allow you to work with mp4, avi and wmv formats. Select the required video file from which you want to extract a melody and click Ok. It is worth noting that some converters allow you to process multiple video files at once.
Step 3
Set the desired fragment from which you want to extract video in the program window using special sliders and video player control keys. Select the Trim or Keep Selection option to trim excess video and audio. Some applications work with conversion profiles that allow you to save audio in various formats. Select the options that best suit you and click "Cut" or "Save", depending on the selected program.
Step 4
The quality of the resulting melody directly depends on the quality of the audio that was embedded in the video. If the track was of poor quality, it is better not to make it without the use of additional tools. You can trim and edit the desired audio file directly in your program.
