Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to know the general recommendations for cleaning various office equipment. Before cleaning the printer, it is advisable to disconnect it from the power source altogether.

Step 2

First, you need to open the printer itself and carefully inspect all its parts. If the inside of the printer is dirty with ink, then to remove it, you just need to wipe the inside of the printer with a damp cloth. If your device uses toner, then its used residues must be removed with a regular vacuum cleaner, or simply blown out. Certain types of toners, mainly colored, can be dangerous to your health, therefore it is recommended to use only a vacuum cleaner with a specially equipped filter, or immediately blow out the remains of this toner and move away from it.

Step 3

Then you need to trace what exactly the paper goes through when printing. To do this, we recommend that you clean all the rollers (except for a printer with toner, the rollers of which do not need cleaning). They must be wiped very gently as they are often hot, not having time to cool down after turning off the printer. To clean them, you need a little disassembly of the printer. Some types of rollers are very difficult to remove. First of all, you need to clean the rollers that hold the paper before printing and send it to the printer itself. If these rollers are defective or dirty, this can affect the quality of the print itself, which will manifest itself in constant paper jams.

By timely cleaning the printer, you will forever forget about expensive repairs to your equipment.
