There are often situations when the computer suddenly starts to work louder. And the volume of the computer as a whole depends on the operation of the coolers installed in it. If the cooler starts to work louder, it must be removed, installed and lubricated. Then it can be reassembled and reinstalled. This should be enough to fix the problem, since there is no switch in the PC coolers. Therefore, only the bearings can wear out.

Step 1
Let us describe the process of disassembling and lubricating a PC cooler on sleeve bearings. Coolers with such bearings can make noise due to the drying out or leakage of lubricant, the use of low-quality or simply no lubricant.
Step 2
Now to the point. Let's remove its proprietary sticker from the cooler, remove the rubber plug, if there is one. Next, use a screwdriver or tweezers to remove the lock washer. After that we need to remove both rubber rings from the shaft.
Step 3
The next operation with the cooler should be to clean its casing and impeller from accumulated dust. Then we take the bearing and with a piece of cotton rag we clean all the parts of our bearing from the old grease.
Step 4
If we have traces of old organic grease, we remove them with gasoline. Silicone grease is removed with acetone or nail polish remover, which is basically the same thing. When working with these solvents, we need to be careful, because the appearance of the plastic parts of the cooler can deteriorate. Alcohol is a great solvent, but it doesn't remove grease very well.
Step 5
Now we will apply a few drops of grease to the area of the bearing and shaft, putting on the first rubber ring before that. After applying the grease, insert the shaft into the bearing. Something like a thick ring should be placed under the impeller, then it can be easily pressed into the cooler case. And the lock washer will be convenient to install.
Step 6
Now drip some more grease from the side of the shaft exit and put on the second rubber ring. We put the lock washer in place, at the very end of our shaft, push it further into the gap. All that remains is to replace the plug with the branded label.
Step 7
A few words about cooler lubricant. Do not, under any circumstances, use edible vegetable oil, grease, or petroleum jelly. It is better to use spindle, silicone, engine, mineral, synthetic and other oils available in the retail network.
