There are two main methods for overclocking a CPU - increasing the bus frequency and multiplier. The first option is of higher quality, because it provides a high-quality combination of CPU and RAM overclocking.

Instructions
Step 1
Please note that there must be a good reason for overclocking the CPU. You should not perform this procedure unless absolutely necessary. First, install a program that displays the current state of the CPU. It's called CPU-Z. Launch this application and study all indicators, including temperature.
Step 2
Now install the Clock Gen app. Select the version of the utility that is compatible with your motherboard. Run the Clock Gen utility. Now increase the bus frequency by changing the position of the slider located opposite the FSB item.
Step 3
Be extremely careful. Do not raise the bus frequency more than 10 Hertz in one go. Click the Save button to apply the new values. Note that the Clock Gen program is not designed to increase the voltage supplied to the CPU. If the bus frequency is increased sharply, the emergency shutdown function may be triggered.
Step 4
Restart your computer and enter the BIOS menu. Now press the F1 and Ctrl keys. This is necessary to open additional menus. Select the Advanced Setup item and open the menu containing information about the frequencies of the processor and RAM. Increase the voltage supplied to the CPU.
Step 5
Increase the bus frequency of the central processor. In parallel, you can increase the frequency of the RAM cards or reduce their timings. After changing the parameters of the CPU and RAM through the BIOS menu, be sure to turn on the computer and run the CPU-Z utility. Check the stability of the above devices.
Step 6
If increasing the bus frequency was not enough, then increase the CPU multiplier by 1-2 points. Remember that the total frequency is the bus frequency multiplied by the bus frequency. By increasing the multiplier by one, you raise the overall frequency by hundreds of Hertz.
