Instructions

Step 1

Create a new document by pressing CTRL + N.

Step 2

Open the page settings window - on the “Page Layout” tab, click the icon labeled “Fields” and in the drop-down menu select the “Custom Fields” item.

Step 3

The default window opens on the Fields tab, and each tab is divided into sections here. You need in the one called "Pages", open the drop-down list next to the inscription "several pages" and select the "Brochure" item. In this case, another drop-down list will be added to the section, designed to limit the number of pages. If you do not want to split the book into several volumes, then leave the option "All" selected. Here you can also adjust the margins from the edges of the sheet.

Step 4

If the paper size you are going to use for printing is different from A4, then go to the "Paper Size" tab and select the one you need in the uppermost drop-down list.

Step 5

If necessary, you can on the "Paper Source" tab, in the "Distinguish Headers and Footers" section, check the box for "even and odd pages". This may be necessary so that, for example, page numbers are always printed at the outer edge of sheets - for even ones, the outer edge will be the right edge, for odd ones - the left one. If you put a mark in the checkbox next to the inscription "first page", then the header page will not be on the header. In the drop-down list of the "Start section" section, you can select an option to format the sections of your book.

Step 6

When finished with setting the print settings for the future book, click the "OK" button.

Step 7

After you fill your book with content, format the headers and footers, etc., all that remains is to send it to print by pressing CTRL + P.
