The popular utility for the design and development of AutoCAD drawings saves all information in dwg format, which often makes it difficult to exchange files and send them to customers for editing on computers where this program is not installed. To use the file outside of AutoCAD, you can use format converters.

Step 1
Pdf is one of the most common formats today. It can be easily edited and printed, and then converted to text format. To convert a document from dwg to pdf, use the doPDF program. Among the analogues of this application are Universal Document Converter, DWG and DXF to PDF converter, AutoDWG DWG to JPG. These utilities have similar functionality and are able to convert the required files in the same way.
Step 2
Select the application you like and download it via the Internet from the developer's official website or any other resource. Install the resulting program by following the instructions on the screen. After completing the procedure, close the installer window.

Launch AutoCAD and open the file you want to convert in it. Wait for the document to load, and then go to the "Print" - "Model" section. In the next window, pay attention to the "Printer / Plotter" section. In the "Name" drop-down list, select the name of the program you just installed.
Step 4
Go to the "Format" section and select the size of the desired document and its parameters. In the What to Print section, select Border, then click the appropriate button and set the options you want. In the "Print Scale" section, check the box next to "Fit". In the "Offset from start" menu, you should select "Center" for better formatting.
Step 5
In the lower left part of the window, press the "View" button. Make sure that the settings you made correctly display the desired file. If the resulting image is correct, close the preview window and click "OK". In the "Search for a drawing file" item, specify the location where you want to save your resulting pdf file. Give your document any name and click Save.
Step 6
Wait for the end of the conversion procedure. After that, go to the previously specified directory and open the resulting pdf file to check the quality of the document.
