There are several ways to install hardware drivers. Usually they use discs supplied with specific devices, or resort to using additional programs.
Necessary
- - Sam Drivers;
- - access to the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Drivers for monitors, as a rule, are located on disks that are produced by the manufacturer of these displays. Insert this disc into your DVD drive and wait for the autorun menu to open. Select "Install Drivers" or Drivers Install. Follow the step-by-step menu of the installer. Restart your computer to complete the installation of the required components.
Step 2
Sometimes the driver disc may be missing. In such cases, it is recommended to download the necessary files from the websites of monitor manufacturers. Open the Internet service you want and go to the "Driver Download" or "Support Center" menu. Select your display model and download the suggested program or files.
Step 3
If you downloaded the exe file, then run it and install the necessary drivers. If the data is stored in an archive, then extract it to a separate folder using WinRar or WinZip programs. Open Device Manager and find your monitor in the hardware list. Click on it with the right mouse button and select the item "Update drivers" in the expanded menu.
Step 4
In the new window, click on the item "Install from a specified location". Navigate to the folder where the downloaded drivers were unpacked. Wait until the process of updating the required files is complete.
Step 5
Remember that it is extremely important to install drivers not only for the monitor, but also for the video card. Use the methods described to find and install the files or software you want.
Step 6
Use the Sam Drivers program if you cannot find the correct file sets yourself. Run it and wait until the analysis of the connected equipment and selection of the necessary programs is completed. Select the appropriate kits and click the "Install" button. Restart your computer after the utility has finished running.
