Often, users of a personal computer have a need to increase the computer's RAM. Working (or RAM) computer memory - Random Access Memory (RAM) - entirely consists of semiconductor crystals (chip - chips) and stores this device information only at a time when the computer is turned on.

Step 1
When the power is turned off, the contents of the RAM are lost forever. Quite often, this memory is called random access memory (RAM). This storage device is located in the computer on the main (mother) system board or on accessory memory cards. Before being analyzed and displayed on a monitor, all data is first passed into memory. For example, all scripts and application software files are usually found on hard drives.
Step 2
When you run any program, all its files are moved (loaded) into RAM for further processing. Also, the memory serves the temporary storage of data and application programs. Basically, the more memory a computer has, the more complex programs can run on your PC. The amount of RAM in your computer can be increased by inserting an additional memory card into a special slot on the motherboard, or by attaching additional memory modules to an already installed RAM card.
Step 3
You can install a 16 MB RAM card in your computer, along with the 8 MB you already have. You can also put your PC's RAM boards, additional memory chips on empty places. Random access memory is necessary to store any data (documents) currently being processed by a computer. The program currently being executed, like almost all of the operating systems, is stored and processed in the computer's RAM.
You can expand the computer's RAM by four slots, each of which can be from 512 MB to 8 GB.
