The mouse cursor is perhaps the most commonly used GUI control on any operating system. Windows provides the ability to change the color of the mouse cursor, depending on the aesthetic needs of the user.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to change the color of the mouse cursor, the first step is to go to the control panel of the operating system. The control panel button is on the Start menu by default. In the control panel, click on the "Mouse" shortcut. A dialog box opens with mouse control options, including the Pointers tab. With its help, you can change the color of the mouse cursor.
Step 2
In the "Pointers" tab, find the item "Schemes" and click on the drop-down list. It presents various options for cursors for different situations (hovering over a hyperlink, downloading a program). Select the scheme and color of the cursor you like and click OK. If you wish, you can always create your own scheme of different cursors and save it under the desired name. In addition to the color of the cursor, in the control panel, you can set options such as casting a shadow by the pointer, its initial position in the dialog box, displaying a trail when you move the cursor, and highlighting the location of the cursor when you press certain keys.
Step 3
If you want to change the color of the cursor, but the proposed standard options do not suit you, then you can download cursors on the Internet. Cursor files for Windows have the extensions.ani and.cur. To install the downloaded cursors, save them in a separate folder, and then open it using the explorer window, which will open after pressing the "Browse" button in the mouse control dialog box.
