Insert a sharp object between the latch and the body of your flash drive, pressing slightly on the screwdriver, slowly turn it to one side, then to the other. Remember that the angle of rotation must be minimal, otherwise the flash drive may be completely damaged. Repeat this operation in different places where the body is joined with the retainer. After several approaches, the flash drive will be disassembled.

Flash drives with a collapsible case. To disassemble such a USB flash drive, you will need the same tools as described above. There is an inconspicuous seam along the body of the flash drive. The principle of opening the flash drive remains the same. Carefully pry off the case with a thin object. It is worth noting that in this case you release the case from the action of the latches, there is no point in opening it by force. If you break the latches, the case will not automatically slam shut. A panacea in this case can only be scotch tape or electrical tape.
