Necessary

  • - USB storage;
  • - Mac OS image;
  • - Partition Manager.

Instructions

Step 1

It is possible to install the Mac OS operating system on laptops from other manufacturers. First, make sure your mobile computer is suitable for this task. There is only one basic requirement: the device must have an Intel CPU.

Step 2

Download the original Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 9E25 Retail installation disc image. Now download the Kismus Hackintosh Tools - LiveDVD image and burn it to DVD using ISO File Burning.

Step 3

Create a bootable USB using SYSLINUX and USB Disk BOOT Files. This will allow you to perform the necessary manipulations before entering the operating system.

Step 4

Create two additional partitions on the hard disk. Each of them must be at least 10 GB in size. Format both partitions to FAT32 (FAT) file system. Never leave the original NTFS format.

Step 5

Copy the installation disk image to one of the prepared partitions. Run the Kismus Hackintosh Tools utility. To do this, restart your laptop and select your DVD drive to continue starting. Reformat the partition where the operating system will be installed.

Step 6

Now use the "Recover from an image" function. Run it and specify the path to the downloaded ISO file containing the Mac OS files. Wait for this procedure to complete. Connect the previously created bootable USB stick to the USB port and restart the laptop.

Step 7

Set the boot priority for this drive. After starting the program from the USB flash drive, select the partition where the Mac OS was restored to continue loading. Wait for the new menu to start.

Step 8

Select the checkboxes of the system components that need to be included in Mac OS. Click the "Install" button and wait for the completion of this procedure. After rebooting, start up again from the USB stick. Select the partition where you just installed the system.

Step 9

Write any bootloader, for example Chameleon DFE or Bootloader to the hard drive. This will allow you to later run Mac OS without using a USB flash drive.
