Instructions
Step 1
The setup procedure may differ slightly on different versions of the Windows operating system. But these differences will be insignificant, since the principle of creating an account is the same. Start Outlook Express. A dialog box will appear in which you enter your first and last name. Then proceed further. In the next window, you must enter a valid e-mail address, in other words, e-mail.
Step 2
In the next window, you need to select the type of incoming message server. The POP3 server is more commonly used now. You also need to specify the SMTP server. For example, if you have an email account on Yandex, it will be smtp.yandex.ru. After entering these settings, proceed further.
Step 3
In the next window, in the "Account" line, enter your e-mail address, and in the "Password" line - the password for accessing your mailbox. After entering these parameters, proceed further. A dialog box appears notifying you that you have finished setting up your Outlook Express account. Click Finish.
Step 4
You can now use your account. When you run it, you will see several sections. In the "Service" menu, you can change account settings, for example, change the name or email address.
Step 5
To receive letters from an e-mail box, you need to select the "Mail" tab in the program menu, and then click "Deliver mail". In a few seconds, email will be delivered to your Outlook Express profile.
Step 6
If you want to set up an automatic connection to the Internet after clicking "Deliver mail", you can do it like this. Go to "Connection" and check the box next to the line "Connect using" and select the type of your Internet connection. Now, every time you click "Deliver Mail", the Internet connection will be established automatically.
