In the Windows operating system, special sets of fonts are used to draw letters, which the user can add independently. To install the downloaded font for use in a text or graphics editor, you must place the file in a special Windows folder.

Step 1
To install additional fonts, you need to download them from the Internet. It should be noted that for installation on Windows, you need to download the font in TTF format. Otherwise, you won't be able to use it and it just won't start. Download the font file you like to your computer.
Step 2
Unpack the downloaded file if it was received in zip format. Most font services provide fonts only in RAR or ZIP packages that can be opened with the WinRAR utility.

In newer versions of Windows, starting with Windows Vista, new font files are added to Control Panel. To do this, go to the "Start" - "Control Panel" system. Then select "Appearance and Personalization" - "Fonts".

From the folder where you extracted the contents of the font archive, drag the TTF file into the window that appears. After completing the copying procedure, the font will be installed and you can use it in the system.

In Windows 7, it is not necessary to move the downloaded TTF file to a separate folder. It is enough to click on it with the right mouse button and select "Install" in the menu that appears.

You can unpack the font files into a special directory on the system - they are all located in the C: / WINDOWS / Fonts folder. Go to this directory using the item "Computer" - "Local drive C:". After that, move the desired fonts to this directory using drag and drop or through the copy and paste options. You can also use the item "File" - "Install Font", after which you will need to specify the directory where the files that you want to import are located.
