A familiar story - the documents, which took a huge amount of time and effort to collect and organize, were destroyed by an error that occurred while working with the database, or by a system malfunction. To avoid this situation, you need to back up your data.

Instructions

Step 1

There are several ways to perform database archiving. A frequently practiced method is to create a copy of the database using the SQL server (if your database is stored on the server). Or make copies using the operating system itself.

Step 2

If you are using the file system where the database is located, then create a copy of the database by zipping the directory where it is located. To find the directory where your database is located, open the menu, find the "Help" item, and in it the "About" item. In the "Catalog" section, the route to the catalog is already registered.

Step 3

For example, to create an archive copy of the database using the built-in tools of the 1C: Enterprise 8 program, enter the database using the Configurator mode. Select the required database in the entire list, click on the "Configurator" button.

Step 4

The configurator window should open. In this window, select "Administration", then the item labeled "Unload infobase".

Step 5

You will see a window in which you need to find the item "Directory" where you store your archives (it is usually recommended to create it on some disk, say, on drive C, and name it "Archives 1C"). Specify the name (name) of the archive (file name) to make it easier to find archive files in the future, it is recommended to use the date when your archive was saved in the name. Then click the "Save" button, which will create your data archive.

Step 6

It may take you a few minutes to create an archive copy, or it may take an hour. It all depends on the size of the archived data and the performance of the equipment.

Step 7

When the entire archiving process is finished, a.dt file will be created. The.dt file has a standard format used for storing all archive copies in the 1C: Enterprise 8 database.

Step 8

To restore the database from this archive in the future, open the menu and select the "Administration" item, and then the "Load information base" item and mark the required file in the archive.

Step 9

In order not to lose the data that you have created on your computer, you should make a copy of the database of your resource once a month, or even more often.
