Microsoft Office is designed for a comfortable user experience. All programs included in it are convenient and thoughtful. Microsoft Office Word is an editor for working with texts. There are several ways to open a Microsoft Word document.
Instructions
Step 1
To open a new Microsoft Word document, if its icon is located in the quick launch bar (space on the taskbar, located to the right of the "Start" button), you just need to click on the program icon with the left mouse button.
Step 2
You can also open a new Microsoft Word document from the Quick Launch in another way. If you click on the program icon with the right mouse button, a drop-down menu will appear, in which you will need to select the first item - "Open".
Step 3
You can also set the display mode for all programs in the Start menu and select the Microsoft Office folder. When you hover over the specified folder in the additional menu that appears, left-click on the name of the Microsoft Office Word program (and the corresponding year). For the same purposes, you can use the right mouse button, when you click on the name of the program, an additional menu will appear, in which you should select the "Open" command.
Step 4
If Microsoft Office Word is already running, there are several ways to open the saved document. For quick access to the dialog box (through which you can move in the usual mode) press the key combination "Ctrl" and "O".
Step 5
You can also open a document by clicking on the Microsoft Office icon in the upper left corner of the window and select the "Open" command.
Step 6
In versions of Microsoft Office Word before 2007, an icon in the form of a folder is placed on the toolbar - by clicking on this icon, you can also open a dialog box and open the necessary document.
Step 7
If you want to open a Microsoft Office file from the folder in which it is saved, click on its icon with the left mouse button or select the "Open" command from the drop-down menu using the right mouse button.
Step 8
If the editor is running and you want to open a new blank document, use the "New" command by clicking on it with the left mouse button, or use the "Ctrl" and "N" key combination. In versions prior to 2007, there is a blank slate icon in the toolbar for the same purpose.
