Exclusions added to the antivirus program allow you to remove protection from an application or file on the system. Exceptions are added only if you know that the program or downloaded file is absolutely safe, but the antivirus continues to issue warnings about the presence of a potential threat.
Instructions
Step 1
Depending on the version of the antivirus you are using, the procedure for adding exceptions to the program will also change. each application has its own functionality and interface. If you are using Kaspersky Internet Security, right-click on the application icon in the system tray, which is located in the right part of "Start". Select the "Settings" section in the appeared context menu.
Step 2
In the settings window that opens, select the "Threats and exclusions" item. In the "Exceptions" section, click the "Settings" button located in the right part of the application window. Click "Add" - "Select Object" and then click "Browse" and specify the file you want to see in the exceptions, and then click OK. To add an application to the list of exclusions, use the "Trusted applications" item.
Step 3
If you are using NOD32, right-click on the Windows tray icon. In the list that appears, select "Open Window" and then go to the "Settings" - "Enable Advanced Mode" menu. In the Virus Protection section, click Exceptions - Add. If you want to add a file, specify the folder where it is located. Select the program in the same way using the corresponding menu item.
Step 4
The standard antivirus utility Microsoft Security Essentials is widely used in Windows 7 and Windows 8. To add exclusions in this program, click on the antivirus icon in the notification area and click "Open".

After the window appears, select "Options" - "Exceptions". Click on the "Browse" button to specify the path to the desired folder / file. Select the "Programs" section if you want to add any application to the exclusions. Click "Save" to apply your changes.
