Dr. Web is automatically able to update and download new versions of anti-virus databases. However, when switching to a new version of the program (for example, from 8.0 to 9.0), the update can be performed using the installer of the antivirus itself.
Instructions
Step 1
To update Dr. Web through the network, go to the official website of the program using the browser installed on your computer. Go to the "Download" section of the upper panel of the resource. To download from the site, enter your product serial number that you purchased earlier, or specify the path to the program key file stored on your computer. After entering the data, you will be presented with a download link. Save the downloaded file by selecting the "Save" item and specifying the location for its placement.
Step 2
Open the resulting program after the operation is completed by double-clicking on it with the left mouse button. Then allow access to the system data. You will see a window that will notify you that there is an older version of the program installed on your computer. Click on the "Update" button.
Step 3
The screen will display a notification about the removal of the old version of the antivirus. If you want to save the quarantine data and the settings made, do not select the items on the screen, but simply click the "Next" button. If the program asks for a confirmation code, repeat it - it will be shown on the screen. Click "Uninstall a Program". After completing the uninstallation procedure, click "Restart Now" to restart your computer.
Step 4
After rebooting the system, you will be shown a message about installing a new version of the program. Accept the terms of the license agreement to complete the installation. Click Next. If necessary, you can check the item “Install Dr. Web ". Follow the instructions in the installer to select the options you want. In the "Registration" window specify the path to the anti-virus key or click "Get the file during installation". Then click on the "Next" - "Install" button.
