Sometimes a situation may arise when, while watching a movie, the picture is suddenly interrupted or distorted. This happens when files are damaged and stop playing normally. You can, of course, download a movie from the Internet, but if the low speed of the Internet connection does not allow you to do this, the best option would be to restore the video file.
Necessary
- - All Media Fixer program;
- - File Repair program.
Instructions
Step 1
To repair a movie, you need All Media Fixer, which weighs only a few megabytes. Install it on your computer hard drive. Run the program.
Step 2
From the main menu of All Media Fixer, click File. Then select Add File. A browse window will appear. Specify the path to the folder where the movie is located. Select it with the left mouse click, and then click "Open" at the bottom of the overview window. After these actions, the movie you have selected will be added to the program menu.
Step 3
Next, in the application menu, select Tools, then - Fix. Scanning and repairing the movie will begin. Please note that the process can sometimes take several hours. Much depends on the size of the movie you choose, the level of damage and the type of processor you have.
Step 4
If you have a single-core processor, it is not recommended to use your computer for other tasks during recovery, as this will significantly slow down the speed of movie recovery. After completing the procedure, the video file will be located in the same folder as the original movie. The name of the recovered file will be preceded by the Fixed line. This is a copy of the film.
Step 5
Another program with which you can restore a movie. It's called File Repair. Download it from the Internet and install it on your computer hard drive. Run the program. In its main menu, click on the image of the folder - a browse window will open. Specify the path to the movie to be restored. Select it and click "Open" at the bottom of the overview window.
Step 6
Then, in the main menu of the program, click Start repair. The movie recovery procedure will begin. You can monitor its status using the process bar. After the operation is completed, the restored copy of the movie will be in the same folder as the damaged video file.
