The problem of insufficient hard disk space is familiar to many users. Usually, in such cases, they simply delete unnecessary files. But when it comes to the system partition of the hard drive, you need to use other methods.

Step 1
To increase the volume of the system partition of a hard disk without formatting it, you must use special programs. Download and install the Partition Manager utility developed by Paragon. Be sure to restart your computer after completing the installation of the program and run it.
Step 2
In the quick launch menu, select the "Advanced user mode" item and wait for the main program menu to load. Find the "Wizards" tab at the top of the working window and open it. Hover the cursor over the line "Additional functions" and in the expanded menu select the item "Redistribute disk space".
Step 3
Click the "Next" button in the window that opens. Left-click on the graphic image of the section, the size of which should be increased. This is usually local drive C. Click the Next button to go to the next menu.
Step 4
Now check the box next to one or more partitions by which you will expand the system volume. Better to free up a lot of space ahead of time by deleting unused files. This will speed up the volume resizing process. Click "Next".
Step 5
Set a new size for the system local disk. To do this, click the arrow and move the slider. Click the Next and Finish buttons. The preliminary preparation of the disk is completed. Open the Changes menu and click the Apply Changes button.
Step 6
After a while, a new menu will open. Click the Restart Now button. All further operations will be performed in MS-DOS mode. Please note that the process of reallocating disk space can take 3-4 hours.
