The easiest way to watch a movie in a foreign language without waiting for its translation is to use subtitles. Inserting them into a video is not at all as difficult as it might seem at first glance. All you need is a few apps.
Necessary
- - computer with Internet access;
- - video for creating subtitles;
- - file with subtitles;
- - SubRip and AviSub applications.
Instructions
Step 1
Record your own subtitles if you can't find suitable ones on the internet or if you want to make your own video translation. Open the text editor "Notepad" on your computer. Watch a movie and record subtitles, making sure to mark the times at which you want to insert them. Thus, the format should be as follows:
"Your subtitles"
00:05:04.784 -> 00:06:12.615.
Now save the subtitles in TXT format.
Step 2
Download and install the SubRip app on the website https://www.divx-digest.com/software/subrip.html. This free program allows you to save your created subtitles in SRT, IDX or TXT formats. With this program you can also change the color, location of subtitles, highlight them in bold or italic type, underline
Step 3
Download the AviSub app from the link https://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Other-VIDEO-Tools/AVI-Subt…, install and run
Step 4
In the AviSub menu, click on the "Download AVI" item, then select the desired video file in the directory and press the "Open" button. Click the Download SRT, TXT, IDX button. Select the subtitle file you created and open it.
Step 5
Press the "Create Subbed AVI" button. The program will automatically insert your subtitles into the video. When watching a video in the player, make sure you have the subtitle display enabled.
