One computer can often have several users, for example, family members, where everyone needs their own environment to work on the computer with their own settings, and so on. For this purpose, Windows provides a multi-user function.
Instructions
Step 1
Click on the "Start" button to open the main menu of the operating system. Next, find the item "Control Panel" in it and click on it with the left mouse button. This will open the control panel in Windows.
Step 2
Now, in the window that opens with the tool icons, find the item "User accounts", if your icons are displayed in the classic form, double-click on it, and if the category view is enabled, then as a link, with one left-click.
Step 3
So, you are logged into the account management system on your computer. In the list of tasks (items with arrows) select "Create an account", click on it, and the system will prompt you to enter a name for the new account.
Step 4
Enter a name for the new account and click on the "Next" button at the bottom of the window. Now select the type of account - "Computer Administrator" or "Restricted Entry". The Computer Administrator account type will allow you to create, delete, and modify existing accounts on your computer, make changes that affect other users, install programs, and access any files on your computer. The "Restricted Write" type will allow you to change the settings of your account, including the password, view files in the "Shared Documents" folder, and some programs developed for Windows operating systems prior to XP may not work properly with limited rights.
Step 5
After you select the type of account, at the bottom of the window, click on the "Create an account" button. After that, the User Accounts window will return to its home page, where the new account you just created will be displayed in the account tile, which can also be modified.
