Some PC users encounter some difficulties when working with Windows Movie Maker, for example, saving a finished movie or a created slide show. In fact, saving a file in this program is not much different from saving a simple file in a text editor. But if you still have difficulties in performing this operation - this article is for you.
Necessary
Windows Movie Maker software
Instructions
Step 1
After you finish working with the video file, you need to save it. This can be done through the "File" menu. Click this menu, select "Save Movie File". Also, this action can be performed by clicking on the "Save to computer" button, which is located on the "Operations with Movies" panel.
Step 2
In the drop-down list, enter the file name as well as the name of the movie. If this list does not include the folder where you want to save your movie, click the Browse button. In the window that opens, search for the desired folder. You can also create a new folder: click the "New folder" button and enter the file name. If the entry field for the new folder is not active yet, press F2.
Step 3
By default, the movie is saved in the best quality. If you have previously selected a different quality, click "Best computer playback quality (Recommended)". The Setting Information field displays all of the setting information.
Step 4
To use other movie settings, click Show Advanced Options, then choose a different setting. After saving the movie, click the "Finish" button. To check a saved movie, go to its save folder. You can run the file by double-clicking or right-clicking on the file by selecting "Open" or "Open With".
