Necessary

You will need: computer, Nero software, DVD

Instructions

Step 1

The easiest way to save movies to discs is with Nero, and in any of its variations. For example, with Nero Express. Open the program via "Start - Nero - Nero Express" or by clicking the shortcut on the desktop.

Step 2

In the dialog box that appears on the left, select Videos / Pictures and then DVD Video Files. If you select Create Data DVD, the video may not burn to the disc, or it may not play on standard DVD players, and you can only watch the movie on your computer. And recording in DVD-video format makes it possible to record a high quality disc that will be played on all devices.

Step 3

In the next dialog box, click the Add button, so you can select the desired video file (or multiple files) from your computer to copy to disk. After the task is completed, click "Close". Consider the storage capacity of a DVD: it can hold anywhere from two to four small movies. How busy the disk is already can be seen below, where the memory size scale is shown. The occupied space is displayed in green, as soon as you go beyond the limit, a red line will appear, and the extra megabytes will be displayed in yellow. In this case, a “Delete” button will appear under the “Add” button, and you can delete an extra video file so as not to overload the disk and successfully save the remaining movies. After completing the selection, click "Next".

Step 4

The next step is to select a drive for recording and a disc name. You can leave the suggested option as default, or you can write your own by clicking in this window. In addition, there is a small arrow on the left, by clicking on which you can change the recording speed of the video file. If you have modern technology, you do not have to change the default speed of 18x (24 930 Kb / s). But it is better to put a universal speed option that allows you to watch movies on old players - 8x (11,080 Kb / s). Click Record.

Step 5

If you have taken a DVD-R disc, the program will ask if you want to burn a disc with or without multisession. Multisession is the ability to then add some files to the disk. This will not affect the final result in any way, so you can click any option.

Step 6

At the end of the recording, you will see the message "Burning completed successfully", and the drive will eject the disc itself. It is recommended that you check immediately how he enrolled. Close the Nero program and try to play the disc. If it reads well, then you did everything right, and in your free time you will be able to watch the desired movie.
