Necessary

  • - patch cord;
  • - network adapters.

Instructions

Step 1

Start by choosing a personal computer that will be directly connected to the provider's server. Remember that to access the Internet from a second computer, the first PC must be turned on. Make sure the selected computer has a free PCI slot.

Step 2

Purchase a network card with a LAN port and install it in the first computer. Cross-over the network cable yourself or purchase a ready-made patch cord.

Step 3

Create a local area network between your computers. Connect their network adapters with a patch cord. Turn on both PCs. Set up your first computer.

Step 4

Open the menu displaying a list of network connections. Right-click on the VPN connection icon and open its properties. Go to the "Access" menu.

Step 5

Activate sharing of this connection for computers on the local network. To do this, check the box next to the corresponding item. Save the VPN connection settings and open the properties of the local area connection.

Step 6

Select "Internet Protocol TCP / IP" and open its options. After entering the setup dialog, set a static IP address for this network card. Save the parameters.

Step 7

Open a similar dialog menu for the network adapter of the second computer. Enter a permanent IP address such that it differs from the host PC by only the fourth segment.

Step 8

Find the "Default Gateway" field and fill it in with the IP address of the first computer. Save the connection parameters. Reboot both computers. Activate the connection to the VPN server and check the Internet connectivity from both computers.
