Sometimes there are times when a program stops working correctly. You can, of course, just reinstall it, but this will reset all settings. Also, this option will not work if there is no application distribution kit. But there is a way that is much simpler and more convenient, namely: rolling back the program, allowing you to return it to an earlier state.
Necessary
Windows computer
Instructions
Step 1
Any Windows operating system, from Millennium to Windows 7, has the option to restore the system to an earlier state. In this process, not only the operating system is restored, but also the programs that were installed on the hard disk at that time.
Step 2
Click Start. Select "All Programs". Then left-click the "Standard" - "System Tools" - "System Restore" sequence. In the window that opens, click on the item "Restoring an earlier state of the computer".
Step 3
A window will appear in which all restore points will be available. Each point will correspond to a specific date. Select the desired rollback date of the program state. After selecting a restore point, click Finish.
Step 4
The computer will reboot and the system recovery procedure will begin. It usually doesn't take long. During the recovery process, no other actions on the computer will be allowed. You can monitor the process using a strip. As soon as the bar reaches the end of the screen, your computer will restart and start normally.
Step 5
After the operating system is fully loaded, you will see the inscription "System restore was successful." Now you can test the operation of the program. If System Restore did not meet your expectations and the program rollback did not go as you expected, try selecting a different restore point.
Step 6
It is possible that after the recovery process the shortcuts for the quick launch of the program will disappear from the desktop. In this case, you should go to the folder where the application you need is installed and find the executable file there, it has the exe extension. After that, double-click on this file and the program will start.
