Step 1
If you simply remove the USB device from the port, it threatens to damage the device itself. This is especially true for storage devices. It may also be necessary not to remove the device, but simply unplug it.
Step 2
When you connect any USB device to the computer, a corresponding window appears on the bottom panel of the operating system. It contains information about all USB devices connected to the computer. To remove the desired device, click on this window with the right mouse button. A list of available devices will appear, from which select the one you need by right-clicking on it. A context menu will pop up, in which you should select the "Safely Remove Hardware" item. The message "Hardware can be removed" appears.
Step 3
It happens that several devices are often connected to a computer at the same time. For example, an ordinary flash drive, USB modem, Card-Reader, telephone. Then you can get confused, since the system does not show in detail the exact information about the connected devices and you can accidentally delete the one you need.
Step 4
Download USB Safely Remove and install it on your computer. Run this app. Now the window of the application will appear on the bottom pane of Windows. Opening it, you will see not only all USB devices, but the name and characteristics of the device itself. For example, if a mobile phone is connected, then there will be information that the storage device from the mobile phone is used and the model of the phone itself is written.
Step 5
You can also assign hotkeys to remove USB devices. Then, in order to remove a specific USB device, you only need to press one key assigned by you, and the device will be removed from the list. You can add several hotkeys for quick deletion. All actions are performed through the program menu.
