Scientists are working to create more and more sophisticated and versatile anti-virus programs. Antivirus programs day and night detect and remove a variety of computer "evil". But sometimes it happens that the antivirus program detects a virus but does not remove it. In this case, you should do it yourself.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - software.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the antivirus program menu by hovering the mouse cursor over it and clicking on it. Usually the antivirus icon is located on the right side of the taskbar of your operating system. Activate the virus scan in the main menu of the program. The antivirus program will prompt you to select objects to scan. This can be a single folder, one or more disks, or the entire computer. Also, the antivirus can scan external devices connected to the computer. Check the boxes you want and start the process.
Step 2
Begin the process of checking your PC or laptop for viruses. A window will automatically open in front of you, which will show the verification process. Wait for it to end. You will immediately be able to find the event log, which, most often, will be at the bottom of the screen. If this is your first time trying to scan your computer, please note that this may take a little longer than you expect.
Step 3
Remove detected viruses in several ways. When the anti-virus program shows you a list of malware, select the action "Clean" or "Remove". After this action, the system will begin the process of removing Trojans and viruses. However, it may happen that some malicious programs still remain in the operating system of the computer. There are several ways to eliminate them.
Step 4
Clean up your computer operating system. To do this, check the file names and locations in the antivirus. Then find them in the computer memory and proceed with deleting. If you were unable to remove viruses, use the AVZ antivirus utility.
