Step 1
One of the options for the trial version is antivirus software. The user can download and evaluate the functionality of, for example, ESET antivirus solutions for free for thirty days. During this period, the update procedure will be carried out automatically. But as soon as the demo version expires, the update procedure will be blocked.
Step 2
Uninstall the previous version of ESET antivirus solution installed on your personal computer. Then re-download and install the new version of the antivirus program. Over the next thirty days, if you configure the software correctly and set its automatic updating, the antivirus program will update itself.
Step 3
There are two ways to activate your antivirus software. First, enter the username and password (the validity period of such an antivirus program will be determined by the type of license). Second - enter a test period (as a rule, the license validity period from the moment the software is installed on your personal computer is thirty days).
Step 4
Please be aware that the update can be installed on both licensed and demo versions. In addition, the update is carried out in chronological order, that is, first you need to install the trial version itself, let it be, for example, 9.01.001, then 9.01.002, etc. It turns out that with the release of new versions of programs, the update will take place sequentially.
Step 5
To update a program installed on a personal computer, open the "Service" folder and then "Update program". After the trial version of the program finds available updates, a list of update packages will appear on the left side of the window (the following information will be indicated here: version number, its date and the size of the update itself). Download the updates and the installation process will begin.
