The taskbar in the Windows operating system performs many different functions, giving the user quick access to all the necessary applications and running processes. The appearance of the taskbar and its functional component can be customized to your liking.
Instructions
Step 1
To access most of the taskbar functions, simply right-click on it and select the desired action from the list. Thus, you can customize the display of one or more toolbars, pin the taskbar to the screen, or access the advanced settings menu by selecting the Properties menu item.
Step 2
Opening the "Properties" menu item, you can set the hiding of the panel in automatic mode, the size of the icons on the taskbar, its position on the screen, the grouping of application buttons, and also configure the appearance of pop-up notifications for various programs.
Step 3
To make the taskbar transparent or change its color, right-click on the desktop and select Personalize from the context menu, and then click the Window Color button. You will see the window color settings menu, in which you can adjust the transparency, brightness, color saturation of the taskbar and other windows of the system.
Step 4
To resize the taskbar by increasing or decreasing its height, right-click in an empty area of the panel and make sure the check box is cleared in the Dock Taskbar menu item. Now grabbing the edge of the panel with the mouse cursor, and keeping the mouse button pressed, drag the border of the taskbar. The panel will change its size.
