The operation of deleting unused folders "Scheduled Tasks" and "Printers and Faxes" can be performed using standard tools of the Microsoft Windows operating system and does not require the involvement of third-party software.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to initiate the deletion of the selected jobs in the "Scheduled Tasks" and "Printers and Faxes" folders.
Step 2
Call the context menu of the "Scheduled Tasks" item by right-clicking and selecting the "Run As" command to comply with Microsoft security requirements.
Step 3
Set the radio button to the “Account of the specified user” position and enter the name and password of the computer administrator in the corresponding fields “User” and “Password.” An alternative method of running the application as an administrator is to use the command line utility (“Start” - “All Programs” - "Standard" - "Command line" with command value
runas / user: user_name "program_name path_to_program_file".
Step 4
Delete the selected tasks by double-clicking the mouse. An alternative way to delete the selected task is to use the “Delete” item in the “File” menu of the upper toolbar of the application window.
Step 5
Return to the main Start menu and go to Run to delete the Scheduled Tasks and Printers and Faxes folders themselves.
Step 6
Enter regedit in the Open field and click OK to confirm the launch of the Registry Editor tool.
Step 7
Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerRemoteComputerNameSpace registry key and remove the parameter with the value {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF} to completely delete the Scheduled Tasks folder.
Step 8
Remove the parameter with the value {2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D} to completely remove the Printers and Faxes folder.
Step 9
Exit the Registry Editor tool and restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
