The "Tasks for files and folders" group is located in the task pane of the folder window and is intended for quick access to the most common operations with files and folders. The procedure for hiding the selected group can be performed by the user using standard operating system tools.
Instructions
Step 1
Familiarize yourself with the structure of the task pane display in the folder window of the "Windows Explorer" application: - the "Tasks for files and folders" group provides quick access to standard operations with files and folders; - the "Other places" group is intended for quick transition to other standard OS Windows folders ("My Documents", "My Computer", etc. In addition, it contains a parent folder for the open one) - The "Details" group provides extended information about the selected item.
Step 2
Perform the operation of hiding the "Tasks for files and folders" group by collapsing the selected group by pressing the special button with a double arrow next to the name of the required group.
Step 3
Restore the original view of the task pane of the folder window by pressing the same button again, or open the "Tools" menu of the top toolbar of the "Windows Explorer" application window to perform the procedure for deleting the task pane from the folder window.
Step 4
Select "Folder Options" and go to the "General" tab of the properties dialog box that opens.
Step 5
Apply the check box next to Windows Normal Folders and click OK to apply the selected changes.
Step 6
Go back to Folder Options and go to the General tab of the Properties dialog box that appears to restore the original folder window.
Step 7
Check the box next to Display a list of common tasks in folders and click OK to apply the selected changes.

Make sure that no other panel is open in the window of the selected folder if the task pane cannot be displayed, and remember that the size of the window can affect the ability to display the task pane due to the need to accommodate all the necessary icons.
