Some users prefer to use the Windows XP operating system instead of its newer and more modern counterparts. The problem is that when installing this OS on laptops, there may be a problem of missing some drivers for hard drives.

Step 1
This problem is solved by introducing the required set of drivers into the image of the installation disk. First, create this image. Use the Daemon Tolls or Alcohol Soft programs for this. Download the driver kit suitable for your laptop and Windows XP operating system.
Step 2
Copy the files stored in the disk image to a separate XPSATA folder. Now download a utility called nLite. For it to work successfully, you need to install the. NET Framework version 2.0. Install the nLite program and run it.

Select the Russian language and click the "Next" button. Browse to the folder where you unpacked the image files. Click "Next". In the window that appears, select the following two items: "Drivers" and "Bootable ISO image". Click "Next".
Step 4
In this window, click the "Add" button and specify the folder where the previously downloaded drivers are located. Press the OK button after selecting the desired folder.
Step 5
In the new window, highlight the Text Mode Driver option. Specify the required driver and click OK. The next window will display a list of added drivers. Click the "Next" button to proceed to the final stage of creating a new image.
Step 6
A window will appear containing the following question: "Do you want to start the process?". Click the "Yes" button. Wait while the program integrates the required drivers into the system archive. Click the Next button after completing this process.
Step 7
To burn a new Windows XP installation disc, select Direct Burn and click the Burn button.
Step 8
If you want to create a new image of the installation disc, then select the Create Image item and click the "Create ISO" button. Select a folder to store the future image.
Step 9
After burning the disc, restart your computer and begin installing the Windows XP operating system.
