It is very convenient to use images of these discs to save information from DVD-media. In addition, ISO files can be created for later burning their contents to discs or other storage devices.
Necessary
- - Daemon Tools Lite;
- - Nero.
Instructions
Step 1
Use Daemon Tools Lite to pack information from a disk into an image. It has all the necessary functions and is distributed free of charge. Download this utility from www.daemon-tools.cc.
Step 2
Install the program. Restart your computer to allow the utility to inject its components into the system. Right click on the Daemon Tools icon that appears in the system tray.
Step 3
In the expanded menu, select the "Create Image" item. Insert the desired DVD into the drive. Select the drive you are using. Click the Refresh button and set the read speed of the disk.
Step 4
Click the "Browse" button related to the "Output File" item. Select the directory where the generated ISO file will be placed. Check the box next to the "Delete image on error" option. This saves you the trouble of checking packed files. Click the Start button and wait for the utility to finish copying the disc.
Step 5
Use Nero Burning Rom to zip files from your hard drive into an ISO image. Run it and select "Data DVD" in the start window.
Step 6
Open the recording options and check the box next to Use multiple capture devices. Create a new project. Add the required files located on your hard drive.
Step 7
Now click the "Burn" button. Open the Burn tab and select one of the existing virtual drives. Specify the folder where the resulting ISO image will be saved. Enter a name for this file.
Step 8
Click the "Start" button. Wait while the selected files are zipped into the ISO image. Close the Nero program. Run the disk imaging utility. Open the contents of the resulting ISO file and check the recorded data.
