Go to the official website of the program developers - protect-folders.com. On the left side of the page that opens, there is a Download Now button and click on it. In the window that appears, click on "Save", and in the next - specify the path and click "Save" again.

Run the downloaded program distribution kit. With certain settings for issuing notifications about changes made to the computer in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, a warning window may appear, click "Yes" in it. Install the program. At the end of the installation, a window will appear with two buttons - By now and Run trial version, later, if you do not buy the paid version of the utility, it will appear every time you start it. Click on Run trial version, thereby you start the trial version of the program, it will work for 30 days.

Step 3

In a new window, the program will cordially congratulate you on the fact that the directory has been successfully locked, but in fact - it has become hidden and not visible in the standard Windows Explorer. Click on Exit to exit Folder Password Protect.

Step 6

To unlock a folder, run the program and in the first dialog box select Unlock folders and click Next. In the next - select the locked folder from the list and click Next. In the next - if necessary, ask for a hint by clicking on the Get a hint button, enter the password and click Next again. If the password is correct, the program will inform you about successful unlocking in a new window.
