Instructions

Step 1

At the moment when the computer boots, namely when a screen with various system information is displayed on the monitor (as a rule, such a screen follows the motherboard logo), press the F8 key on the keyboard.

Step 2

So, a menu of options for loading the Windows operating system appeared in front of you, among which select the "Safe Mode" option with the arrows on the keyboard.

Step 3

Next, select the enabled Administrator account. This entry is not encoded by default. You can also choose another account of one of the members of the user group of this computer, if you know the password for this account or does not exist at all.

Step 4

Next, the system will warn you that Windows is starting in safe mode, confirm this by clicking on the "Yes" button with the left mouse button.

Step 5

After the system starts up and the desktop is displayed on the monitor, open the "Start" menu and click on the "Control Panel" item in it. Install the classic version of displaying the control panel tool icons, find and double-click the left mouse button to open the "User Accounts" window.

Step 6

Left-click on the account you want to decode (reset password), after which the item "Change password" will appear in the list of available actions, select it. Then, in the password change window, enter the new password and confirm it if you want to change the password, or leave the fields blank if you just want to reset the password.

Step 7

Now click on the "Change password" button in order to apply the changes made. Close the User Accounts window and the Control Panel itself and restart your computer. After restarting, your computer will no longer require a password.
