It has been known for a long time that Windows XP (mostly other versions of the Windows family) had a built-in VPN client, which allows, together with the VPN server, to create secure networks on top of the Internet (or other networks). This opportunity is widely used for organizing access by Internet providers. To link two computers together, you need to follow these steps.
It is necessary
PC, internet, browser
Instructions
Step 1
We go to the “Control Panel”. Further “network connections”.
Step 2
Click "New Connection Wizard".
Step 3
We select the column “establish a direct connection to another computer”.
Step 4
Then we select “accept incoming connections”.
Step 5
Next, we select our modem as a device for an incoming connection.
Step 6
We select “Allow VPN to make private connections” and so on.
Step 7
It is possible to access the Internet from both machines. In the "Search" box for computers, type the IP address of the remote computer. IP is possible to find out. Type ipconfig in the console (Start> Run> cmd), then send this IP, for example, via ICQ. And then you use it as with a local network.
Step 8
Note that your IP is probably dynamic. If you lose the connection and then access the Internet, it will change, so the connection will need to be re-established.
Step 9
On the folder, right-click "Properties".
Step 10
Then click “Access” and check the box “Share this folder”.
Step 11
In order for your shared folders to function, you need to have a Guest account on both machines (and you need to create the same users on both computers).
Step 12
To make the “Guest” account active, click “Start”, then “Control Panel” and “User Accounts”. Next, click on the "Guest" user, and "Enable Account".
