Very often, when working on a laptop, it becomes necessary to increase the brightness of the display. On many laptops, this function is configured at the hardware level, since not all models are equipped with special buttons.

Instructions

Step 1

To increase the brightness of the monitor, click the "Start" button, go to the "Control Panel" section, then "System and Security". Open the "Power supply" section and change the screen brightness settings by moving the slider to the right side to a position convenient for you. You can also change the brightness by right-clicking on the desktop. Select the "Properties" line, open the "Parameters" tab. Change the screen resolution by increasing the brightness.

Step 2

In the same Settings tab, click the Advanced button. In the window that appears, find a button with which you can enter graphical information to change the monitor module setting. To do this, open the tab with the name of your video card, select the characteristics responsible for the brightness of the monitor. Enter the parameters as you like, save and apply. On some laptop models, this window can be opened using the Alt + Ctrl + F12 keys.

Step 3

Download a program on the Internet, for example, Media Key, which is responsible for setting functions with some keyboard shortcuts. In modern notebook models, brightness can be adjusted using the Fn button and the right arrow or one of the function keys (F1-F12). Please note that this function is available for models that have a scan code for the Fn button installed.

Step 4

If your laptop does not support the specified settings format, update the drivers. They can be downloaded freely from the manufacturer's website or downloaded from the installation disc that came with the laptop. Many official drivers support automatic screen image adjustment. Note that adjustments made with special calibration programs are much better than manual adjustments. At the same time, the monitor backlight parameters are changed.
