Increasing the brightness of the monitor on a laptop can sometimes be a really difficult task, because unlike monitors, they do not have mechanical image adjustment buttons. Everything happens here at the hardware level.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to increase the brightness of the monitor on your Acer laptop, press the Fn key + Right arrow key. This feature is available only for those laptop models that have a scan code for the Fn key installed.
Step 2
Also use the function of changing the screen brightness through the power modes menu. To do this, right-click on the desktop, select "Properties". A window with several tabs will appear on your screen, select the one that is responsible for the screensaver settings.
Step 3
Open the "Power supply" section and adjust the change in screen brightness in different modes, save and apply the changes. Also note that it often happens that when changing the working power supply scheme from economical to normal, the brightness of the screen backlight does not change, in this case it is best to set the same backlight level for both modes so as not to change the parameters in the future.
Step 4
If you need to change not the brightness of the backlight, but the parameters of the image itself, go to the "Options" tab, click on the "Advanced" button in the lower left corner of the window. You will see a menu for configuring the monitor connection module. Open the tab that says the name of your video card.
Step 5
Click on the "Characteristics" button. You will see a new window for video card settings. Select in them those that are responsible for adjusting the monitor's brightness and color. Adjust the options as you like, save and apply your changes.
Step 6
Download and install a program for assigning functions to certain keyboard shortcuts, such as MediaKey, to your computer. Open it and set the actions to change the brightness of the monitor when you press the Fn key with any others, best of all with the left and right arrow keys, apply and save the changes.
