Sometimes anti-virus programs put in the list of objects in quarantine those files that are not malicious. In this case, the user's access to them is limited, but sometimes they are needed to perform certain operations. For such cases, the program provides a recovery function.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure that the file quarantined by the antivirus program does not pose a threat to your files and the operating system. If you are not sure, check it again with another antivirus program with updated databases, but before or after it was added to the Kaspersky list. Open the folder where the quarantined object you need was located before the scan, because they are restored in the directory of the former location.
Step 2
Open Kaspersky Anti-Virus. In the main menu, find the "Quarantine" item. In the list of files, select the one you need for further work and using the right-click menu, select the "Restore" menu item.
Step 3
If you want to do this operation with all files, press the Ctrl + A key combination and use the right mouse button to restore them. If the files are displayed in the directory of their former location, then you have done everything right.
Step 4
If you want to restore data from quarantine in the mobile version of the anti-virus application, open the main Kaspersky menu and select the "Quarantine" menu item on the "Anti-Virus" tab. Select the file you need with the mouse.
Step 5
Click on the button for the recovery functions. Check if the file you need appears in the directory of the previous location.
Step 6
If you often encounter the problem of adding files that do not pose a threat to your operating system to the quarantine list of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, try updating its databases by performing an update.
Step 7
Also install additional antivirus software to scan such files. For example, the DrWebCureIt utility, which runs without installation. Programs have different anti-virus databases, and therefore the presence of a threat from such files will be detected in a timely manner.
